The garlic grows between April and December. We harvest the garlic mid December and then dry or cure it for around 2-3 weeks. The garlic is then ready for market early in the new year.
Due to national quarantine restrictions we cannot sell to Tasmania, South Australia, Western Australia and the Northern Territory.
Fenton Hill Organic Farm is an independent family owned farm. Our goal is to provide the public with exceptional organically grown garlic and other produce including organic eggs and vegetables by implementing biological farm practises. Our organic garlic is the result of our holistic agricultural approach to farming which benefits not only our farm land, but also the wider ecological and social systems. By harmonising these and other sustainable practises we aim to achieve a pure and true Australian product.
Fenton Hill Organic Farm is located on the edge of the Macedon Ranges in Clarkefield and lies amongst the Victorian Volcanic Plains that stretch from the north of Melbourne heading west all the way to Portland. Fenton Hill Organic Farm occupies the northern slope of Fenton Hill a low lying extinct volcano. These natural ancient mineral deposits give us a rich clay loam that vegetables thrive in; particularly garlic.
